As the original developers, engineers and enthusiasts who brought the VAG induction hose line to the market almost 3 years ago, Forge Motorsport is pleased to announce a completely retooled, redesigned, and reengineered range of induction hoses for all VAG 1.8T applications.
We have spent the last year co-developing a range of vehicle specific hoses with silicone manufacturer SiliconHoses.com guaranteed to rival the best offerings from any other manufacturer on the market today in terms of quality, price, and most importantly, performance.
The first hose released from this new range is the induction hose for 1.8T Golf's, Jetta's, GTI's, New Beetle Turbo S's and Seat Leon (not Leon Cupra R) This hose fits all of the following engine codes on the above mentioned vehicles:
- AWW - AWD - AWP - AUM - APP - AWU - AUQ
AWW engine codes require a small blanking plug for a port on the hose not used on this engine code. This plug is included at no additional charge.
The second hose released from this new range is also an induction hose for 1.8T Golf's, Jetta's, GTI's, New Beetle Turbo S's, Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon (not Leon Cupra R) This however fits all of the following engine codes on the above mentioned vehicles:
- AVC - APH - AJQ - AGU - ATC
It is possible to identify the code of the engine fitted within your vehicle by removing the plastic engine cover (rotate the plastic bolts securing the cover through 90 degrees) The engine code (three letters) should then become visible on the left hand side or rear of the engine (depending on application) as you are stood at the front of the vehicle.
These hoses have been designed and manufactured with the utmost care given to quality and performance.
The silicone compound used in the construction of the hoses is of the highest sheer strength available and is hand-laid with a polyester reinforcement fabric. The layering of the hoses is far more uniform and consistent than of that from any other manufacturer which improves the overall structural integrity of the hoses up to 50%.
The internal surface of the hose is completely smooth and unobstructed and the internal volume of this hose has been increased to provide the highest level of airflow at all points within the power band.
We have also taken extra care to ensure consistency between each hose produced and that each hose includes all of the necessary ports and provisions required for each engine code and application as have often times been missing on hoses from other manufacturers.

Some fitment variations
Available at a nominal additional charge is an adapter (FMPCV1925) to allow the fitment of this hose where the newer style 25mm PCV valves (previously 19mm) are installed.

Dyno testing has been performed, by independent reviewer and Forge dealer NGP Racing on their in-house DynoJet dynamometer.
Testing was performed on a 2003 Jetta 1.8T with an AWP engine code.
The vehicle modifcations include:
- EVO Cold Air Intake.
- TT 2.5" Turbo-Back Exhaust.
- Forge 004 Blow-off Valve.
- N75J Valve.
- APR 93 Octane Chip.
For the benefit of those without engine software modifications testing was conducted with stock ECU software and also APR's 93 octane software.
Dyno runs 1 and 3 compare a baseline (OEM hose) to the addition of the Forge induction hose using the stock ECU as programming.
Dyno runs 2 and 4 compare a baseline (OEM hose) to the addition of the Forge induction hose using the APR 93 Octane programming.
The results show a 5.82 whp increase using the stock programming and a 12.26 whp increase using the APR 93 Octane programming with an SAE correction factor.
When ordering please select colour of hose and engine code of vehicle. Failure to do so may result in the wrong hose variant being supplied.
Please be aware that these hoses were patterned from right hand drive vehicles. Whilst we believe these to be correct for left hand drive vehicles we suggest that you visually check their suitability, as replacement items, with those fitted to your own vehicle, before attempting installation.
